SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) Exam is held by SBI or State Bank of India to recruit candidates for Clerical Cadre in its different branches across the country. SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2020 facilitates the recruitment for the post of Junior Associates (JA). SBI Clerk is one of the most sought after bank exams today and a huge number of candidates appear for the same every year.

  • After being selected as a “Clerk officer,” you will get multiple chances to be promoted to a higher level. Your increment depends on upon your performance during the probation period of six months it may vary from bank to bank. And you will be selected on senior post level after every two years.Most bank aspirants aim to become officers. There are two ways you can become an officer:

  • Your increment as a clerk depends upon your performance during probation as well as while working various departments. After every two years, depending upon your performance, you will be selected for a senior level post and after a few years of service you will be eligible for an internal promotional exam. If you clear this exam, you will become a Trainee Officer (TO).
  • Receive cheques, drafts, withdrawal forms, cash payment and cash passing, update passbooks, verify customer account details, signature, etc. and explain features of the banks various products to the customers.
  •  Hold the bank cash, bank keys, and other valuables in safe custody and be responsible for a streamlined running of the cash department
  •  Monitor the work of other clerks and sub staff.
  • Handle the deposit and withdrawal cash.
  • Maintain a daily record of balance.
  • Perform bank office works like receipts collection, ledger maintenance, balance tally, data entry, issue EDI stamps and issue cheque books after authentication of clients.
  • Market financial products of the bank such as deposits, loans and schemes to visitors.

  • Allowances : 
    SBI Clerk Salary Components 
    Dearness Allowance (DA)This component of SBI Clerk Salary is revised quarterly, i.e., 4 times a year, and is based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) . The DA increases when inflation is high and vice versa.
    House Rent Allowance (HRA)The HRA depends on the city of SBI Clerk’s posting. If it is a Metro city, the HRA is higher. In the case of rural areas, the HRA is less.
  • The SBI Clerk salary also includes other allowances like furniture allowance, reimbursement of telephone bills, etc.With all these allowances, the starting SBI Clerk Salary per month in a metro city like Mumbai will be around Rs 25,000.
  • Educational Qualification : Graduation Degree from a University recognized by the Government of India. No minimum marks are required.
  • Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants : Candidates applying for SBI Clerk Examination should be one of the following:
                 1. Citizen of India
                 2. Citizen of Bhutan/Nepal/Bangladesh with a valid certificate by Indian govt.

  • Now application form window will be displayed, fill it carefully
  • Read all the instructions carefully before filling the SBI Clerk application form
  • Upload a clear, scanned copy of the photograph along with your signature
  • Make the application fee payment through challan/SBI Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card
  • Once done, take the print out of the application form
  • Once the registration is successful, you will receive the confirmation by SMS or email
  • Without the submission of application fee, the SBI Clerk 2020 application process will not be considered complete. The fee amount may vary according to the different categories of candidates. The fee will have to be paid online.
  • Application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 750 and application fee of Rs. 125 for SC, ST, PwD and Ex-S candidates
