IFSC BILL

Parliament has passed the International financial Services Centres Authority bill, 2019
The bill seeks to set up a unified authority for regulating all financial activities in international financial services centres (IFSCs) in the country.
It was passed by Rajya Sabha on Dec 12 and Lok Sabha on Dec 11.
The First IFSC in India has been set up at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) in Gandhinagar

CONSTITUTION (126th) AMENDMENT BILL

Parliament has passed the Constitution (126th) amendment bill
The Bill seeks to extend Reservation to SCs and STs in Lok Sabha and state assemblies by another ten years
The Bill was passed by Rajya Sabha on Dec 12 and Lok Sabha on Dec 11
given for the past 70 years, the Reservation was due to end on Jan 25, 2020
reservation given to Anglo-Indian community has not been extended in the new Bill
The bill would now be sent to states for Ratification by 50% of the assemblies before it comes into the force

CENTRAL SANSKRIT UNIVERSITIES BILL

The Lok Sabha passed the Central Sanskrit Universities bill, 2019.
The bill seeks to upgrade three deemed Sanskrit Universities into Central universities
They are: Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Bhopal, Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, New Delhi and Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth Tirupati
